Don’t Expect to Be a Pig in Mud

Expect little of God. He doesn’t have a lot of time for you.

Your lifetime is so short, God barely recognizes your existence. Your whole life is a flicker of a shadow of a hummingbird's wing in flight.

You only become important to God after your death.

God is not paternalistic. God is not maternalistic. God does not have a beard, nor does He shave. God does not have breasts. You cannot fasten yourself onto Him, seeking warmed “manna from Heaven”.

God is not interested in your problems. You have a God given job to do. Get out there and do you job. Do it without all the caterwauling and complaining and excuses. Just how much time do you devote to answering the prayers of the ants around your feet? Just how much time do you devote to answering the prayers of the microscopic nematodes and the bacteria under your toes?

You can only hope to connect with God. If you do, you will recognize the bliss of being a part of God.

A microscopic moment, a nanosecond, of bliss in a lifetime is enough.

Bliss is not a hot tub. You don’t have to wallow around in it for hours. Don’t expect to be a pig in mud.

Here, in this quest, there exists a place for regular periodic meditation. Meditation is repeated attempts (practice if you will), for attempting to experience nanoseconds of bliss.
