Original Sin, the Original Big Lie

There is no original sin. If you can agree with this idea as a possibility, wait to decide. If you can rid yourself of this rediculous concept, you will be empowered to lose an emotional burden. This burden was placed upon your back. This burden was placed upon your emotions. This burden was placed upon your soul. Ministers and priests put it there bit by bit from the time you were born. They did this simply by telling you a lie. By telling you a lie over and over again for years. This is the first example of The Big Lie. The Big Lie of inappropriately applied guilt. You were just a child. You believed a person who was in a position of authority over you.

You didn’t earn this guilt by misdeeds, but it was hung on you anyway. It filled your backpack with stones. It held you back. The purpose of The Big Lie was to hold you down. The purpose of The Big Lie was to control you. The purpose of The Big Lie was to keep you from being yourself.

God, even through Jesus, has never spoken to us of Original Sin. Original Sin is the invention of corrupt men seeking power and money.

Do you need to feel guilty in order to act properly?

Do you need to feel guilty in order to do “good deeds”?

Do you need to feel guilty in order to respect your parents?

Do you need to feel guilty in order to respect your marriage vows?

Can you feel your new freedom?

Most people modify their behavior to meet the expectations of significant others in their lives. “What will Mom and Dad think? What will the neighbors think?”

They are avoiding personal embarrassment, fearing to be taken to account for some real or imagined misbehavior. They fear that someone will make a rude, or snide remark, or jeer publicly.

If that is true for you, perhaps you should be more concerned with what God will think of you when you are already dead and can’t change anything. If your behavior varies widely from the average social matrix norm, usually that is a crime according to society, and society will attempt to punish you if you are caught. Isn’t that punishment enough?

When you die, God welcomes you home. A part of Himself is returning to Him. You go carrying a message of your lifetime of learning and experiences. No matter how you choose to live your life, you will give God something.

How He will receive it and judge it, He will decide.
