Right to Life & 18 Reasons No One Needs an AK-47 to Kill Bambi

By: George Wallace

The concept exists due to sloppy, ill-defined language. Language written by folks in love with the written word. Folks who were creating propaganda for political purposes. The colonists in North America were upset with the government of King George III of England. King George’s government was very efficient. His officials were quite willing to cut to the bottom line and get the job done, now. “Hang the bastard.” No trial, just a sentence. The colonists simply wanted their day in court.

They were not thinking about abortion, or dying of old age, stem cell research, or living in a brain-dead, vegetative state with the help of machines.

Beyond this: (1) If we really believed in this phrase, a Right to Life, we would not arm the police, nor have any military services to serve us.

(2) We would make it extremely difficult for any citizen to own, or possess, a hand held firearm, and limit long firearms to hunting rifles and shotguns with a maximum capacity of 3 rounds of ammunition.

No one needs an AK-47, or an Uzi to go kill Bambi. And if they do, they shouldn’t be allowed in the field for the protection of the other hunters. Any reasonably good hunter and marksman kills with one shot. The second round is in case the animal is only wounded. The third round is for the hunter to use on himself for missing with the first two.

(3) We would have much tougher testing and regulation of drivers of all vehicles. We would have much tougher behavioral rules for drivers. With no smoking, no eating, and no drinking behind the wheel of a vehicle. No applying mascara, no reading of maps behind the wheel of a vehicle. No talking on any phone of any kind while behind the wheel of a vehicle. Not even listening to the radio while behind the wheel of a vehicle.

(4) We would already have much safer highways and vehicles than we do now . Many countries around the world already insist on these things.

(5) We would stop all further intrusion for housing and for recreational purposes into wildlife habitat for rattlesnakes, bears and mountain lions.

(6) We would have much better medical services for every single citizen. You cannot be a moral person and be "for life" and against universal medical care.

(7) We would double and re-double taxes on tobacco and alcohol, and have especially high taxes on beer. I find it unbelievable that in many instances beer is cheaper than milk.

(8) We would absolutely stop further pollution of our air, water, and land - period.

(9) What Right to Life do parents have when their child is in dire danger of death from fire, or drowning?

(10) What Right to Life exists when the 40 foot tsunami is rushing toward you?

(11) And numerous other deadly natural disasters?

(12) What Right to Life exists when employers abuse and starve their child employees?

(13) What Right to Life exists when you are so damned stupid, or unprepared as to deliberately put yourself in a situation where you could die from accident or exposure?

And then there are these added questions concerning some supposed "right to life".

(14) To what extent must the collective “we” tax ourselves to pay for the needed personnel and equipment and services that will ameliorate every one of the items on my short list above?

(15) Since my Right to Life ends when only criminals bear arms.

(16) Since my Right to Life ends when violence settles more “things” than any other method of solving disputes because it works and is fast.

(17) Since my Right to Life ends when because in the entire history of the world, nations that “didn’t study war no more”, only lasted until one week after the next summer solstice.

(18) Since my Right to Life ends when those that believe in such baseless dreck and stupid drivel pass laws hoping to protect some imaginary “Right to Life”.

Is it possible to ask them to use six, or possibly seven, higher order brain cells? Could you at least try to think clearly and see what the world is really like, not what you want it to be?

His pithy comments and suggestions for a return to a God-centered personal religion will outrage everyone. www.OhGodIsThatYou.com
