French poet and essayist, Paul Valery 1871-1945, said “The trouble with our times is that the future is not what it used to be.” Those who look back longingly to fairer days agree with Valery.
  • America and the Doctrine of the Last Chance  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
The History Channel cooks up a nice pot of Nostradamus and eschatological soup with their multi episodic “The Nostradamus Effect.” As usual their best is salted with doubt, dissing and secularist expertise that would be better used in a college course entitled “Unbelief 101.”
  • Prophet, pundit or newsman - America's Confusion  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
A simple scan of current events, a gander at the online or TV news will leave you reeling in disbelief. Never before have newsmen and reporters been so highly lauded for the work they do. Yet in the end it is like the adage; water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink.
  • Tolerance and diversity: The Brain Eaters  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
As a boy I marveled at the documentaries that showed how people approached what they perceived as God around the world. Some worshipped rocks and trees, (animism) while others picked some venerable ancient personage and elevated them to the place of deity (avatars)
  • Prophets are not God's PR men - Evangelism is not cheerleading  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Andy Warhol may have been slightly off when he said everyone is allowed their fifteen minutes of fame. Sometimes they are allowed a few years or even decades to ride a wave of popularity but even at that another dawn always breaks.
  • American Style Homeostasis - The Times they are a Changing  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
The effect time has on all humans has created the science of homeostasis. The idea was first put forth by French physiologist Claude Bernard in 1865.
  • The Way That Seems Right: The Social Church in America  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Sound theology is being supplanted daily by the church’s drive toward a more social gospel. Fighting poverty, aids, hunger and homelessness are now considered more important than getting people saved. Are we on the right track?
  • The Quality of Mercy - Soldiers of These United States  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Almost everyone in America has been somehow affected by the recent events at the Ft Hood Army Base. The events seemed particularly intense because only days later Americans honored those who served in Veterans Day observances around the nation.
  • Ft. Hood Massacre - Psychological or Theological Problem?  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Nidal Malik Hasan is charged with shooting and killing 13 people and wounding 29 more on U.S. Army base Ft. Hood in Texas this week. Everyone is scrambling for answers and the first experts consulted have been psychiatrists’.
  • The Three Rs of Prophetic Warning - Old Time Stuff that still Works Today  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Due to the emphasis on the R sound (phoneme) in reading, writing and arithmetic early American pioneers and settlers coined the phrase “reading, riting and ritmetic.” It was repeated often in regards to getting a good education. Although spelled wrong the point was always transparent.
  • Money and Celebrity the New Substitute for Justice in America  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Is leftism rising to the defense of evil even as it sinks to the depths of hell? Perhaps this question would have made a better title for this article but why scare readers away with what may only be construed as preachers pious platitudes.
  • God Has Always Provided Wealth for His People  By : Thom Reece
God is not against His people having money. He has never been against it in spite of what you may have heard many preachers say. He is against money having them and ruling their lives. Remember this. Money is a great servant, but it is a horrible master.
  • Delight In The Lord  By : Thom Reece
There are several ways you can look at this scripture. The first is that if you delight yourself in the Lord, God will answer your prayers and give you what you’ve been desiring. I believe that, but also look at something else it is saying to us. If you delight yourself in the Lord, he will give you the desires of your heart. He will put those desires in you.
  • The Culture of Death - A phrase, a phase or the End of Days?  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
When someone is found dying every thing suddenly changes, no words are weighed, but urgent commands are given, calls go out for help and those who have life saving skills spring into action unhindered by those standing by. What if it is a nation that is dying? Who is responding, who is helping.
  • The Race Card - The Hidden Ace of the Cheater?  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Although America is a fledgling young nation among older countries and civilizations she probably could use the adage “I’ve forgotten more about freedom and opportunity than you will ever know” to the rest of the world without looking the slightest bit pompous.
  • The Golden Compass - Navigates to Nowhere  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
The Golden Compass is the film based on the first novel in a trilogy written by Philip Pullman. The darkly twisted theme is based on witches that are heroes, angels that are homosexual, a church that is bad and a god (allusion to God) that dies at the end of it all.
  • Poll says American Youth Waning on Christianity - Secularism Edges Forward  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
One of the requirements governing the selection of judges who sat at the gates of ancient Israel’s cities was that they had to be at least sixty years old. Most people don’t need to make it to sixty to understand the wisdom of this rule. But for those who do, here is some help.
  • The New American Theology - A Gospel Found Between the Lines  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
The new morality born a generation ago is still not allowed into the circle of conservative biblical Christianity. This has driven some of it’s proponents to take another approach. Under the auspices of PC and tolerance the new morality crowd has developed a new theology.

  • Logo Sponsored Presidential Hopefuls Debate - Prepping a Minority or Pandering  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Two rebukes repeatedly leveled at Christians from today’s champions of “tolerance” are becoming wearisome when trying to apply scriptural admonition to the practice of homosexuality. First is the idea that calling it sin always means that believers hate homosexuals.
  • The One True Church - Protestants Poo Poo Pompous Pope  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Pope Benedict XVI has drawn fire from Protestants worldwide for saying in early July of 2007, that they are not part of the “true church.” Protestants have weighed in and the response has included everything from disappointment to anger.
  • Salman Rushdie the Sensitive Prophet and Juma Gul  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
In the busy nightclub district of London two car bombs were discovered that had not detonated. Questions about who is responsible for the car bombs are being hotly debated as police seek to confirm the actual source of the devices. Some say it may be rage over the recent knighting of Salman Rushdie.
  • Our Unity Is A Scientific Reality  By : Robert Najemy
For many centuries spiritual leaders have taught us that we are one family and that the solution to all of our problems is to live in unity, peace, love and cooperation. Christ gave special emphasis to these values and encouraged his followers to think of God as their mutual Father and all persons as their brothers and sisters.

Although some efforts have been made in that direction, such as the United Nations, the European Union and other - mostly economic - forms of coope...
  • How To Escape The Destruction - Conclusion  By : Bawa Muhaiyaddeen -
Precious jeweled lights of my eyes, you must realize the past, the present, and the future that is coming. If you realize this and conduct yourselves properly, you will escape. Destruction will be caused by atoms, fires, water, storms, gales, illusion, arrogance, caste, religion, and dogmas. Wars will increase; we will have to face different forms of attacks. These conditions are slowly spreading. Differences of caste, religions, scriptures, and color are being propagate...
  • How To Escape The Destruction: Part 1 Of 3  By : Bawa Muhaiyaddeen -
To all the prophets we give our greetings of peace, our salams. May the peace, the beneficence, and the blessings of God be upon them. (As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu kulluhu.)

We also give our greetings and our supplications (salawat) to the angels. May the peace, the beneficence, and the blessings of God be upon them too. (As-salamu ‘alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu kulluhu.) I testify that none is god except God. (Ash-hadu al-la ilaha ill-Allahu.)...
  • Presidential Candidates and Gay Medicine  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and other gay rights activist groups are opposing President Bush’s nomination for Surgeon General, Dr. James Holsinger. Is his science wrong?
  • Christophobes - The New American Bullies  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Phobias are fears. The list of phobias in American culture is growing by leaps and bounds. Christophobia, the new kid on the block, rates a look see because it is now fostering more vituperation than anyone might have ever expected, but why?
  • Global Warming and People of Faith  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Is Al Gore the political left’s equivalent of Chicken Little or should we all snap to attention and take him more seriously? Is global warming a concern that the church should undertake as its own cause? Let’s see.
  • Amazing Grace - Amazing Movie  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Amazing Grace is a must see film based on the true story of British statesmen William Wilberforce. It focuses largely on his fight in the British parliament to end the slave trade that Britain was so economically attached to.
  • Lessons for America from Nigeria - Archbishop Stands against Homosexuality  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
While America gleefully watches the antics and blatant portrayals of the gay life in films and on TV the leader of some 17 million Anglicans in Nigeria says, no way.
  • Political Correctness - The Liberal Brand of Censorship  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
Trying to find the origins and history of what is known today as “political correctness would prove trying to the fairest minded researcher. The best anyone may be able to determine about it with any certainty is that it is a system of checks and balances whose very premise hangs in mid air.
  • Why Do Bad Things Happen?  By : Donny Ouyang
One of the most common questions people ask is: "Why do bad things happen?"

    The beginning of "bad things"

Bad things happen, very simply, because we live in a fallen world. Our world has been invaded by sin, and the result of sin is decay and death, both physical and spiritual. Adam and Eve were, in a sense, the "test case" for humanity. Could they live without going after the one thing in the Garden of Eden they were not supposed to have? They could not. They chose to ...
  • Insights on a Positive Church Construction Experience  By : stevea
In 2005, the Rainer Group was commissioned by The Cornerstone Knowledge Network to study the impact of building programs on churches. From the resulting study of 321 churches came several interesting facts that must be taken into consideration for any church that is contemplating a building program
  • Discover The Two Kinds Of Faith  By :
There are two kinds of faith that exist. The first kind of faith is what I call ‘real’ faith. It is the explosion of something in the mind that says ‘Yes, I believe that’. It is a discovery or a revelation. It starts in the mind. It is actually the mind saying to itself ‘I know that is true’. In fact what the mind is saying is “I believe that is true’. But the mind doesn’t really know the difference. To our minds, really believing something is really knowing something.

    Pro...
  • Why Writing A Check Is Not Enough For The Church  By : Mike Fletcher
There's a new disease out there affecting almost everyone in today's world: It's called busy-itus.

Almost everyone is over committed and over scheduled. And that means when it comes to the church and helping others, finding the time to do so becomes a major burden for many.

How much do you care about the church?

About God’s people? How much of your time is spent helping… giving…praying for your church? A lot of people give money to the church but much less give thems...
  • Live from New York's U.N. Theatre - The Devil and the Dancing Dictators  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
As if the UN did not already have a mountain of failures to live down, along comes two of the worlds most P.T. Barnum like dictators complete with misinformation, ranting and name calling.
  • Something All Americans Can Give to Victims and Heroes of 9/11  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
President Roosevelt’s speech about the “a day that will live in infamy” was the rallying cry for millions of Americans all throughout the dark years that followed the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Following that speech America gave until it hurt. She gave her sons, her wealth, her prayers and her resolve. Has 9/11 produced a rallying cry and if so what can we give now?
  • Forget Politically Correct – Check out Politically Ignorant  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
How many Americans know what is really going on in the Middle East? Perhaps Americans are working and playing too hard to get the true picture. What is brewing there comes with no promise to remain over there. Global conflicts don’t remain over there anymore in our shrinking world.
  • Immigration in America - Not Everyone is Dying to Get Here  By : Rev Michael Bresciani
America is indeed still the land of opportunity but there is a downside about this nation. That downside is hard for us to see because we are isolated and too close to the problem. It comes under the heading of “can’t see the forest for the trees.”
  • Your Body, The Missing Link To Knowing Your Creator  By : Fracka Future
In a world full of sacred texts and differing opinions, how do you know which one is correct? And it doesn’t just stop there with choosing the correct sacred text. You can have one sacred text and hundreds of interpretations on how it is supposed to be followed, let alone all the other sacred texts.

So, which text is right and how is it really supposed to be followed? Well, this article has nothing to do with that question. Instead, it deals with something that is almost ...
  • Youth Ministry Goals  By : Paul Evans
    1. Do whatever it takes to get teens to heaven. Paul wrote that he became all things to all people so that some might be saved (II Corinthians 9:19-23). How well does this relate to your ministry? What could you be doing that might reach more teens in your schools and community?

Ministry has its own set of pressures. We have to worry about what the leaders, parents, and members will think about a program or event. By doing whatever it takes to get teens to heaven, you will...
  • Antichrist Part 7, Rapture and the Triple Catch 22  By : George Wallace
In this Part 7, I will bring this study of the Antichrist, “the Rapture”, and the Second Coming to a close. To believe in the Second Coming also requires a person to believe that one-half of the human race must die (they must hope that they are not a part of that half). These are not good odds. These deaths, an estimated three BILLION people, are just the prelude to, the result of the lead up to, the “last battle”. They hope it will happen in their lifetime.
  • Antichrist Part 6, Belief and Bigotry  By : George Wallace
In Part 6, I examine what belief in such events might actually mean. For early Christians, persecution lasted for centuries. It lasted until the reign of the Roman Emperor Constantine. Until then there was no deliverance, no relief from constant tension, terror, anxiety, and deadly fear. Despite hope, deliverance never came. All that was left was pallid hope, and in the meantime there was a constant searching, a desperate searching for “signs” of the Second Coming.
  • Antichrist Part 5, Early Christian “Cat and Mouse” Game  By : George Wallace
The story of the Antichrist and the Second Coming of Jesus continues. I attempt to examine what is supposed to happen when Jesus comes again. First, its a little confusing. According to some, certain events are supposed to occur, and others leave it “cloudy” at best. As I understand the timeline, it works like this: during the period when the Antichrist is in charge, there will be world wide peace. No wars. However, there will be more and more restrictions on personal freedom. Yet, thing
  • Antichrist Part 4, Over the Hill Came the Cavalry Charge of the Angels  By : George Wallace
The story of the Antichrist and the Second Coming of Jesus continues. People will be able to tell when His Appearance is Nigh. The Antichrist (the Bad Guy) will lead off the tale, do his “thing”. He will create havoc and chaos around the world. Then Jesus (the Good Guy) will lead the cavalry charge of the angels ( the rest of the posse) over the hill and save the day. The key in this story is in the creation by the Antichrist of havoc and chaos when he “arrives”.
  • Antichrist Part 3, “Antichrist? Wasn’t he in the film, what was the name?”  By : George Wallace
What we are really talking about is one of those great delusions that transfix humankind. It is a delusion that rivals anything ever produced by the extremely skilled computer graphics geniuses of Hollywood. Those workers are artists in creating a fantasy in which people gladly immerse themselves for escapism entertainment. A large part of what we will be examining is little more than wishful thinking. Wishful thinking that has been translated from generation to generation.
  • Antichrist Part 2, Hell Is Only Imaginative Fiction  By : George Wallace
I do not believe Hell exists, except as I will define it later. God doesn’t need Hell. Some people need it, psychologically. Most people don’t need Hell. A few people are well served by Hell. By promoting Hell, they get theirs. Most of what most people “know” about Hell comes to us from imagination and works of non-devinely inspired fiction. Most of what most people “know” about Hell comes to us from imaginary FICTION. Hell does not exist. War does exist. War is Hell.
  • Antichrist Part 1, Hell Started As A Campfire Skit  By : George Wallace
I was asked to explain again why I don’t believe in Hell. The easiest answer is that I don’t think God needs it. It was likely originally created by human beings as a prop useful in telling a campfire story. It comes to us from a very old creation story from ancient Persia. Originally, Hell was a place of exile. The Persians transmitted it to the Hebrews. From them to us.
  • A Kitchen Appliance, God’s Soup, & Creationism  By : George Wallace
God does things in Big Ways. He makes stars. He creates planets. He creates Life with a capitol “L”. This kind of bigness tends to make people think that they can’t understand Him. Let’s simplify. Do you want to stand in the light of God? You do? Good. Go outside and stand in the sunshine. You have done it. You are in the Light of God. God created that light. That light left the surface of the sun about eight minutes before it touched your skin. You must wait for the soup.
  • Bikini Churches Cover the Essentials  By : George Wallace
I must say that I was ecstatic to recently read that there is a growing rejection of megachurches. A basic movement away from large indifferent churches. A movement toward home churching. Which is small groups meeting in each other’s homes to worship God together. Praise God! Finally a few have found the relevant Bible quotation which pertains to mini-micro churches: “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I.”
  • What Have you been living?  By : Rev. Robert Vergeson D.D.
Fifty years ago, I started living a lie, a lie that was perpetrated by professionals who believed what they said. They said that I would never mature to become a functional adult. My parents, based on this information passed on that lie and when I reached an age where I too, could believe that lie, I did. The lie was that I was retarded both physically and mentally as a result of an illness at 18 months of infancy. I believed that lie, I lived that lie and I dreaded that lie.
  • Chop Down the Oak Trees  By : George Wallace
At life’s end, God measures your worth in terms of the learning you brought to Him. This is the “weighing in balance”. A parent has a responsibility and duty to the child, society, and God to encourage learning. Parents must guide their children in learning how to make choices. The oak tree of self doubt is a powerful emotion. The soul that God provides you is an insatiable black hole for information. God is the potter. We are fired, hardened, made useful to God in tkiln of our life.
  • Rape, The Death Penalty & A Modest Proposal for Reformed Justice  By : George Wallace
Rape is social crime that deserves the severest punishment that can be provided – death. The original concept of ostracism was a death penalty sentence. Today we drive the prisoners insane. We transform them into sexually perverse persons. This cost is simply too expensive for society to bear. A prisoner that is convicted of a violent crime is too dangerous. The convicted should instead be quickly and quietly executed.
  • Life, Death, Sex, Drunkenness & Gluttony  By : George Wallace
See life as it is. Deal with life. Live with life. It won't go away easily. Death is a hard reality. Enjoy life. Enjoy all parts of life. Enjoyment stops when it has only become drunkenness. Survival is a lucky gift. There is more than the difference between men and boys than the size and number of their toys. You can measure the value of your own life only by what you have done for others.
  • We Sang Together in the Treetops  By : George Wallace
Beauty and music are the balms of life. Music is supposed to soothe the savage beast. Learn to read and play music. Sing! You don’t have to be good, you just have to be good and loud! We sang together in the treetops while we drummed on the branches. Learn to draw, paint, or sculpt. Take art classes. Learn to read about something new. Reading transforms the mind.
  • Passion, Porn & Folk Tales  By : George Wallace
Passion is a key to knowledge. It is the way of God. Learn to use your emotions, don’t let your emotions use you. Use your emotions to “pre-learn” to deal with situations. You will feel and do as you want when that situation arrives. Pre-conditioning is pre-conditioning. Your unconscious brain lacks the ability to distinguish between a “real” video tape and a “fake reality” video tape. You can use porn videos to pre-condition yourself. Why are fairy and folk tales so instructive?
  • Moses, The Egyptian  By : George Wallace
Moses was an Egyptian. Moses was afraid. He was an un-typical Israelite. Moses did not understand God’s Plan and message. Moses had lived most of his life in a highly artificial environment, that of the royal court of Egypt. He had not lived the life of a common citizen of Egypt, much less that life which was the lot of the Israelite slaves. Some things you cannot learn, except by living and growing up in a culture. Moses' understanding would always be affected by his upbringing.
  • Faith & Mountain Moving  By : George Wallace
Faith is recognizing what God’s Plan is. The real mystery is our unwillingness to see what is before us. Faith is dealing with the hard realities. God insists these are more important than our wishes. Faith is a refusal to deny God the Power to Do It His Way. Faith in God is based on the scientific method and is subject to proofs of sense and reason. Faith is believing Christ’s words, “Nothing is impossible to you.” Faith is confidence in free will. Faith is the power to move mountains.
  • The Sand Under Christianity's Foundation  By : George Wallace
There is no form of supplication that can get God’s attention. God simply does not care enough about humans to pay attention to such trivialities. The line where pagan religion ends and our “modern” religion begins is vague. Celebrations, rites, and supplications are acts of organized religion. These actions are promoted to seek to control human groups. They do this for the benefit of the religious leaders. Religious leaders do use their intellect for their own purposes.
  • Killing & The Right To Bear Arms?  By : George Wallace
Does God exists in all human beings? God gave you free will. God gave you a brain with the ability to think and reason. Know yourself. We need the experience of death. To understand death, you must actually touch the corpse. You must feel the absence of life and soul. You must actually touch the corpse before you can truly value life. This gives you the opportunity to value life.
  • Immaculate Conception is Another Way to Say Teenage Rape  By : George Wallace
Immaculate conception was a needful selling point for organized religions for the times. It is not neeeded now. Immaculate conception requires God's active intervention in human affairs. It sounds like a lie backing up an inconsiderate mortal man's belief that women are cattle, good only for bearing children. Despite that all things are possible to God, He is non-interventionist. Interventions do not fit God. The story smells of rationalization and embellishment, human behaviors.
  • Sneaking Into Heaven, Part 2  By : George Wallace
Proper behaviors are those behaviors derived from the evolutionary requirement for success. Ten proper behaviors have been discussed in another article. Proper behaviors are those behaviors derived from the evolutionary requirement for success: survive. We can infer some additional guidelines for proper behavior that follow the first ten.
  • Sneaking Into Heaven, Part 1  By : George Wallace
Survival is God’s only unwritten rule. This is God’s Plan: evolution. Survival of the fittest.
To live the good life calls for literally life saving skills. What does it take to live a “good life”? What does it take to live the “complete life”? The ten answers to these two related questions provides a guidepath for the Ten Best Ways to Live Well. At the end we die.
  • Circumcision is Child Mutilation  By : George Wallace
In Roman times, Christianity was a really “tough sell”. The underlying culture was strong. People were happy with the religion they enjoyed. The Christians were part of the Jewish faith, and new recruits were expected to comply with dietary laws and the rite of circumcision. This was a real test of conviction. Circumcision was given up as a severe public relations problem. Christians were being thought of as subversive and a threat to good civil order. A word for is “wishy-washy”.
  • God, Darwin, the Military, and Homosexuality  By : George Wallace
There are three main thoughts on homosexuality. (a) Homosexuals are non-contributors to population growth. They are non-breeders. Today with global overpopulation, that’s not such a bad thing. (b) Homosexuality exists on the bell curve of human behaviors. Most people are in the center and are heterosexuals. The ends of the curve are minorities, by definition “different” from the majority. (c) Human nature distrusts the “different”. What is needed today is rational acceptance.
